As a waking nights support worker you’ll have a guaranteed number of hours work each week on a rolling rota. You’ll work nights/evenings, generally 9.15pm to 7.15am, covering four consecutive nights one week and three consecutive nights the next. There will also be occasional daytime working, for example to attend training courses.

You’ll join a team who support 14 individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities in a homely environment, in the Cadbury Heath area of Bristol.

The hours for this position is 30 per week.

About the role

You’ll join the team in supporting individuals during the evenings and through the night. You’ll respond to the individuals needs as they arise and regularly check door monitors. You’ll also manage general cleaning and maintenance of their home, as well as any paperwork required. You will also support individuals in day-to-day activities, with eating and drinking and personal care; find out more about these aspects of the role through videos on our website.

If you’re new to social care, we will support you gain the nationally recognised Care Certificate. About you

You’ll need good communication skills and a positive, patient approach. Respectful of people’s differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach. A full driving licence is not required.
